Ramakrishna Sarada Vidyapeeth

Khardah Sree Ramakrishna Ashram was founded by Srimat Swami Madhabanandaji, the 9th President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission,Belur Math, on the day of Akshya Tritiya in 1931. Since the foundation, the Ashram has not only served as a spiritual and religious aspect, but has also contributed immensely to the spiritual, moral and cultural upliftment of the local people, basing on the ides of Sree Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. So long philanthropic, educational charitable and missionary activities are carried on. In 1992 the Ashram has opened a Nursery and Primary School, named “Ramakrishna Sarada Vidyapeeth” for imparting education in the light of Sri Sri Ramakrishnadev, Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda’s teachings.

Objective & Mission:

Religion forms the inner core of Indian Culture. It also forms the background of all activities of the Ashram and therefore of the Ramakrishna Sarada Vidyapeeth too. No sectarian religion is taught here, but care as taken to make the students truly conscious about the universality, brotherhood and equality of all religions. At the same time our endeavour is to put into practical application of Swami Vivekananda’s idea about education. He said “The ideal of all education, all training should be man- making”. We want to impart that education by which character is build, strength of mind is increased, intellect is expanded so that one can stand on one’s own feet. Swamiji proclaimed that “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”. All our efforts are directed towards achieving that goal. Here the children are taught in a suitable Ashramic environment to build up their own character.
